How do I wire up an Emerson 1874 condenser fan motor
I have a Trane XE 1000 condenser unit and it originally had a 3 wire (purple, black, brown)fan motor. I had to buy a replacement motor and it's a US Motors 1874 and has 4 wires (white, black, brown, brown/white). Need to know how to wire it up. Please help

Any recommendations? New motor apparently is capable of running in either direction by switching brown and purple wires going to the capacitor. Looks like then either the remaining brown or purple is spliced to or hooked up to the same terminal as the yellow. Thanks.
I just replaced my condenser fan motor old one is a Emerson k55hxlrh-0208 1/5 hp 1.0 amps 208/220/240 volt 850rpm .The closes one I could get is 1/5 hp 208/230 volts 1.3 amps 1075 rpm now is shuts off in the miday heat
