    2000 crv won't run
    I replaced the dist and checked the alt and battery are goodwires all look good and fuel pumps working. Start is turning it just won't start. Car died while driving it no check eng light.

    If the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then focus on the distributor. Over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas don't work at AMHD. I only recommend genuine Honda distributor housings, where it's fine to install an aftermarket igniter and coil to keep the cost down. Your alternative is to return the distributor for another. Personally, I would try to get your money back and buy a Honda distributor housing--all others are suspect.

    No cheech engine light at all even when the car quit. I did notice before it finally quit that it would power down and come right back on so I thought it was the alt. oriellys checked it and it was good.

    The problem is almost certainly with the distributor.
