Had hot water, installed new anode rod and now no hot water. What is the problem?
I was told that my hot water heater needed a new anode rod. I drained the hot water heater and then removed the old rod with the new rod. Now I don't have any hot water. Please tell me what the problems might be.

Electric or gas, do you flush the heater via the drain spigot with the main water truned on. Do you get a normal flow of cold at all faucets?

Anode rod has nothing to do with hot water, it protects the tank. You either have the breaker off or tripped or a wire disconnected or loose.

Corret but a deteriorating rod falls apart and can clog outlets and inlets almost anywhere. Tank should be flushed twice a year even if the rod is new. Until OP returns we are at a loss
