    35 weeks pregnant with contractions
I have been having contractions ALL day. This morning they were so bad that I could not stand up without being hunched over when I was contracting. They let up for awhile then became as regular as every 7 minutes for about 2 hours. They did not get any closer than every 7 minutes apart. However, I am also EXTREMELY nauseous on top of the contractions to where I can not even think about eating or drinking anything. Shortly after my contractions quit being 7 minutes apart I went to the restroom and had a clump of mucous in my underwear. It was not pink tinted but it did have the same stench as period blood. Should I go to the ER or is there nothing they can do for me? I just need some sort of relief!

If they have subsided, you can hold off. If they return, and you have more than 4 or 5 in an hour, get plenty to drink, change your activity... lie down if you notice them while walking around for example, and see if they continue or not. If they keep coming, contact your midwife or doctor... they will want you to be checked.

Your body is preparing... things may start soon, or it may be several weeks still.
