When a dog has mange does it bleed
I have 4 month old pittbull puppy. She has a little spot above her eye where she has loss a little bit of hair. She keeps scratching it and when she does it begins to bleed a lot. I am a single mother of three I can't afford to go to the vet at the moment. Does mange bleed? Can I treat mange with anything over the counter?

Yes, mange can bleed, because it's severely itchy, and excessive scratching can cause the skin to break open and bleed. There's no over the counter treatment, and there's no way to diagnose mange without going to a vet. Like I said before, there are different types of mange. The type will determine the treatment. No matter what, you'll need to go to a vet. If left untreated your dog is in for a very tough road. I understand that times are tough, and I don't mean to sound rude, but if you knew you couldn't afford vet care then why did you get a puppy? |
