I am unsure if it is actually crabs, or if it is simply lice, or some other innocuous bug.

But honestly, I would say its time to see your doctor abut it (as embarrassing as it may be, they have seen it before, don't be shy about it) he can prescribe you something.

Some girls also shave down there to get rid of anything like that, but some girls prefer not to shave, as that can sometimes cause problems all on its own.

    Good luck.

Shave it, use shaving cream and a disposible razor (throw that out in the trash outside afterwards).. easiest way to get rid of the nits... use whatever medictions you have to and it will grow back in a few weeks if you decide not to keep it that way.

I assume you've been to to a doctor to determine what it really was and got the appropriate medication for it.

If you have tried over the counter methods and still have the problem then, it is time to see your doctor.

More information from the Mayo Clinic: Pubic lice (crabs) - MayoClinic.com

At home treatment from the Mayo Clinic's website:
You can get rid of pubic lice with a patient, thorough approach that involves cleaning yourself and any personal belongings that may be contaminated.

These steps may help you eliminate lice infestations:
Use lotions and shampoos. Choose from among several over-the-counter lotions and shampoos (Nix, Rid, others) designed to kill lice. Apply the product according to instructions. You may need to repeat treatment in seven to 10 days.

Wash contaminated items. Wash bedding, clothing and towels used in the two days prior to treatment with hot, soapy water — at least 130 F (54 C) — and dry them at high heat for at least 20 minutes.

Dry-clean or seal unwashable items. If you can't wash an item, have it dry-cleaned or place it in an airtight bag for two weeks.
Have you treated your bedding and clothing as well as your body?
