    I am replacing a shower stem _ Danco 3S-9H/C
    Can you tell me which direction the rubber cup and spring go in? Don't want to turn water supply back on and have a mess in the house! Can't find a blow up of this on the net. Thanks

    Hi Bamafan75

    I believe Dancos springs and cup washer go in exactly as pictured below... thick end of spring in first and then cup washer over that.

    Agree with the above post: the wider part of the spring sits on the bottom and rubber cap on top of the spring. FYI: this set up is a copy of Delta design. Back to you. Milo
