    Recreating or rewritting their past
I have a brother who seems to be recreating or re-writting his past (in his mind)in a very negative light. He's changing name, places and time to come up with very negative/wrong/faulty memories. He's turning happy family memories into accusations of abuse even though the events/details he's recalling were perfectly normal behavior to eveybody else.
He will not hear reason from any family members, even though they have proof of the true events (witnesses, letters, etc.. ) version of events.
This is becoming such a problem that he has alienated pretty much all family and relatives.

    Can anybody help ?

It sounds like either he knows more about what was really happening, and everyone else is more in denial. ** I was not there so can not say he is really wrong. Of he is having a mental health issue. Your family needs to see if they can get him or force him into treatment.
