Ok I'm 25 years old I have had 3 previous children and I am married. I missed my period October and November of 2011 and I went to the obgyn and they did a pregnancy test and a pelive exam and did some other tests and said the pg test was negative and everything else was normal.My periods where always normal before then. They told me it could have been due to stress or a change in my diet or exercise. Well nothing had changed and I wasn't under any stress. I finally started my period the 23rd of December and if I remember right it ended the 28th or 29th. Well it is now March 15, 2012 and I haven't had a period since dec 23rd 2011. I have taken several home tests and they all come back negative. I noticed in the past week and a half I'm eating a little more and my hands get swollen every day. I am hoping to be pregnant but I am worried something else could be wrong with me.I work M-F 7:30 till 5pm and hardly have time to take off to get to the doctors. What could it be? Can you give me some advice?

It is possible that you are now pregnant, but you would need to test to confirm or rule it out. Maybe try a home pregnancy test and see what results you get. Be sure to follow the directions carefully.

Since your period was off before, there may be hormonal issues occurring that your doctor would need to look into. Other than last October and November, do you have a history of irregular cycles?

Try a pregnancy test at home if you can't get into the doctors. Whether it is positive or not, it would be wise to schedule a time to go back and see what the next step would be.

I have already taken several different home pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. Before October 2011 my period cycles where always normal.
