My boyfriend doesn't know what he wants
I got a text last night saying he wasn't sure whether it was time to end things as I'm away at university. He said everything is getting too hard and too serious and he wants time to be a teenager. He then went on to say he missed me a lot, and that he loved me and I was the best thing that had ever happened to him. He agreed that we talk about it this weekend when I am home and he said that he wouldn't make any decision on anything until we've spoken to each other and talked through everything. He said it would be so much easier if I was home and not away at uni, but also to remember that he's going away to uni in September. He's thinking about what he wants, but this morning has been acting totally normal like we're still together. I don't know what to do or what to think. We've been together over a year and he was crying on the phone to me when he was telling me this. I just don't know what he wants. He told me to prepare for a split and to prepare for us staying together.

Tell him to figure it out and then get back to you. Until then, just keep enjoying each other's conversations.

Things that kill a long distance relationship is when there is too much focus on the negatives. It's important to keep things positive and if you can't find it in each other to keep things positive, then maybe the relationship is coming to an end, whether you want to or not.

That's quite helpful. Do you think I should talk to him and make a list on the positives and negatives?

They would be your pros and cons,to discuss with him,as you should do when you meet up.

Talk things through and see where that takes you.
