Are judges totally free from responsibility for their actions?
Family law weird situation. My x was properly served all required documents in my divorce action. However, but being a heavy drinker, was to hungover to bother showing up for court procedures and I won maintenance (23 yr. Marriage) in 2009. He never paid alimony, I had to garnish finally receiving my first pmt. 11 months later.
The order was maintenance until death or remarriage.
He started taking me back to court after first garnishment with maintenance petitions, (dismissed) Reconsideration (dismissed) Exemption from garnishment (dismissed).
Just when I thought my income was finally reliable, he get's an attorney and files a Motion to Show Cause.
By now the divorce is 3 yrs old and I've moved. I had a telephone hearing and after letting me speak less than 4 min. The judge vacates all support but allows him to remain divorced as he wanted.
Now, I'm living on food stampts, while he's retired with over 1.5 m in assets and income of $3k per mo.
Legal help has never heard of a judge doing this. Can anyone help, please.

You did not prove your case, you should have had an attorney and appeared in person in court.

So now you refile to over turn the last ruling.
