    Harbor breeze fan company?
    When I try turning the on/off the light the fan comes on and the buttons don't do anything. I have to go to the wall control to work the fan or lights

    First be sure to turn on the wall switches, get both fan and light to be ON. Now using the remote you can't shut them off, it that your situation?
