    80's or 90's TV show
    Hello,

    I'm looking for the name of a TV show that aired in the late 80's or maybe in the 90's. It was about a single mother who I think had two kids a boy and a girl. The boy was kind of dorky (he might have been blonde with glasses or I could just be messing his character up with the one from Step by Step). The girl had kind of brown wavy hair. The opening for the show showed a house with a sort of castle turret where the girls bedroom was.

    One of the episodes the boy becomes a model to earn some extra money and then does a commercial for a peanut butter jelly combo but messes it up because the product is so bad.
    In another of the episodes the mother decides to take in a boarder to help pay the bills and the girl may have to give up her bedroom for the cause. But the man overhears her and her mother talking and decides that he wants another room.

    Any help finding this show would be awesome!
