    Why are my medicare wages different from ss wagess?
    There is a difference between them of almost 17000 dollars and I was wondering if it's correct on the w-2 form

    SS wages are capped (at 106800 for 2011). Medicare are not. Does that explain it?

    As a prevention from growing.. but my husband's for example are the same amount and our wages are close to the same amount..
