    Water in the basement
I have water in the basement between the drywall and vapor barrier. Could this be from a crack in the foundation or a pipe

Sure it could, do you have a sump pump? Check your water meter if you have one. Meters have a small pointer that shows even the smallest water usage. If everything in your home is shut off that pointer should be stone cold stopped.

Once the drywall is wet then the insulation will be wet too. Ou need to remove at least a 2' tall strip of drywall to get at the insulation and then you will be able to see more about the source of the water. If your meter pointer is not moving it could be a drain, foundation seepage or even condensation.
