    Why is my belly button bleeding?
    It's been hurting badly for 2-3 days now and I tried cleaning it. Blood came out. Bright red, not brown.

    First off are you a guy or a girl.

    Endomitriosis could cause bleeding from the naval in females; but it's rare.

    It could also be a hernia or something with the liver because embryonically the umbilical cord is connected to the liver area (so maybe portal hypertension).

    Any other symptoms?
