    Raffle odds calculations?
If a raffle sells 40,000 tickets, which are replaced, and has 5 drawings for a total of 119 prizes... what are my odds my 1,2 and 3 tickets purchased? Thank you

Please clarify - are you saying that each "drawing" consists of pulling 119 tickets? Or does each drawing have one winning ticket which gets 119 prizes? Also - you indicate that tickets are replaced - are they replaced after each of the 5 drawings, or are they replaced after each ticket is pulled?

If there are a total of 119 tickets being pulled (one for each prize) then the odds of any one ticket winning a prize is 119/40000 = 0.2975%, or about 1 in 336. If you buy n tickets your odds of winning a prize is n times 0.02975%. So for 2 tickets it's 0.595% (1 in 168) and for three tickets 0.8925%, or about 1 in 112.
