    What would cause this noise?
    2001 civic dx, makes a roaring noise inside when the wheels are rolling,put it up on stands, bearings are tight and roll free, brakes seem about new,yeah can put it in gear and let the hubs spin and I can hear the noise inside the car but not outside, trans. Is full and I can't find anything with slack in it . Only time yeah hear it is when the wheels are rolling? Any ideas please?! M.c.p

    Maybe the tires are chopped. It is likely a bearing... yeah, I know, you said they're tight... still, probably a bearing. It could be a bearing in the trans but I would say it's in the wheels. Take it somewhere and have it checked. Most places will do this for free.

    I had the same problem on my 1996 subaru legacy ,it turned out to be my drive shaft because I have all wheel drive. A $250.00 fix for a used one

This morning my heat pump sounded like a lawn mower running. It's coming from the outside and it was loud enough for me to think someone had generator running in my back yard.
