    I have a Payne 350mav036080. The thermostat is on but furnace won't come on
    The house lights blinked and I thought I heard a noise come from the furnace. I checked the board and the led is on steady

    If the light is on with no blinks you may have a thermostat problem. You can jump from R to W on the furnace control board to see if the heat will work. If it works you have a bad thermostat or broke thermostat wire. The safety door switch will need to be taped closed to run the test.

    Thanks for the info. Turns out when I checked out the R & W connections they were covered in dust from plug not being in place where you can see the light on the board. I cleaned the connections, checked the wires and it fired right up. Thank you for putting me on the right track
