I'm only 8 and I want to be a famous singer. Mum sas maybe when I'm 14 I can go on x facter but that's a long way away. Any advice?

Are you able to sing in school performances? Do you know if there are any local theatre groups in your area that you could try out for during breaks from school? If you attend religious services, maybe you could sing there. You could ask about starting a children's chorus if they don't have one. Maybe see about taking formal singing lessons for right now.

Until you are able to do more, sing as often as you can find the opportunities. See if your school will put on a talent show performance for at the end of the year as example. If you have a music teacher at school, ask if he or she knows of any opportunities in the area that you can look into.

The more you can find ways to sing in public, the more practice you will have, and the more comfortable you will be for other opportunities that may come up as you get older.
