    Varying HPTs
    Hello I just took a pregnancy test this afternoon that read positive after 5 minutes, I then went straight to the store and bought two more and they came back negative. What does this mean?

    It means your results are inconclusive. It would be wise to wait another week or so and test again. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, especially as to when to read the results. Was the positive a very obvious positive or a faint line? Was 5 minutes the time stated for reading results on that particular test? Were they all the same brand of test? Some are more sensitive than others, and will pick up a pregnancy sooner.
