Rear ended and no police report insurance etc...
About a month or so ago I bumped into a girl I knew literally. We were a redlight and she went when it turned green and then immediately stopped. Consequently I bumped into her. We both exited our vehicles and decided there was no damage done and were not going to take it any further. About twenty minutes later after she had gotten home, she called me ( I didn't even know she still had my number ) and said that there was some damage to her car that went un noticed. We have been talking back and forth through text and calling about how I was going to fix it. The only problem is that she says she is going to get a estimate on it and I don't hear back from her for 3-5 days but then she says to just give her 1000 dollars to fix it I don't really think I owe her anything and am just wandering if I am responsible for anything as I think that it was pre existing damage and she just wants it fixed. Ps... I'm in Texas PLEASE HELP!

So she didn't get an estimate after all and still wants $1,000?

You should report the incident to your insurance company.

Don't pay her anything until you see an estimate. It appears to me that she is making it up.

You may have known her before, was she a ripoff artist then? This smells bad to me. Follow AK's advice and let her deal with your insurance company.

Just tell her that you need three estimates for the damage. But I would turn it over to your insurance
