Handle on kitchen sprayer keeps coming off. How does it go back on?
I have a two handled faucet with side sprayer in my kitchen sink. The poarty of the sparyer handle that you depress to make it spray, keeps falling off. A "handyman" we know has repaired it in the past, but unfortunately I was always at work, and cannot figure out how to reattach it. Obviously no handyman now. It looks as though you could slide it back into place, but don'tseem to be able to do this. There is a post that sticks out from the sprayer, and on the handle there is a "horse shoe shaped part that seems to fit into the area around the pin. Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi Kate...

If you have a regular spray hose like below, it sounds like you would be better off replacing the sprayer with a new "universal" sprayer assembly. These are super easy to replace... ;)

If you check out the image below you will loosen the spray head from the slide nut and then remove the C CLIP to remove the slider nut and the old spray entirely.

Install the new spray by placing the new slide nut in place and then install the new C CLIP in place and install the washer and new spray... should actually be that easy.

The hardest part here is getting the C CLIP off... may need to get a little creative here, but the idea is to push both ends of the C CLIP at the same time to push it off the hose stem. Otherwise, this is really a super easy job!

    Questions? Let me know, OK?

    Mark

PS: The holder nut in the image below is actually up and under your sink holding the holder in place.
