SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR HOW LONG THIS IS.

1st problem: There's a girl he knows called Olivia, the first time I met her he told me that she had said the last time she seen him that she thought he was attractive. That hurt me a bit, I asked if she fancied him and he said no and got defensive, I explained that I assume other people like him because I do so much.

I found at today that within the first few weeks of us seeing each other she came on to him multiple times and the next day he told someone he couldn't believe he blew it because she's "such a babe" and that he likes me but he doesn't know where it is going. He also told them he had kissed her and that he's an idiot for not going further because he could have gotten away with it.

I confronted him and he said that she has kissed him and his friend, a peck on the lips months before me and him met. But that when me and him had been seeing each other a few weeks he wasn't sure I really liked him and because she came on to him and flattered him he considered her a bit, but in the end he realised how much he liked me. To his credit the person who told me did say he kept saying how much he liked me.

I am hurt that he had an opportunity to tell me and lied! I'd have found out eventually.

I asked him if there was anything else he needs to tell me. (We have now been together 5 months)

He revealed that his sisters best friend who had made it publicly known she likes Sean, who had been all over him before in front of me had actually kissed him at a party and that he kissed her back. They then kissed again but nothing more came from it. I asked him if anything had happened between them months ago and he told me nothing had.

What hurts is that when she flirts with him I laugh it off as I thought she would not have a chance as he had never been interested in her! Guess I was wrong. There are going to be times where he has to be around her and if he's rude to her his sister will query it.

Aside from that I believe him that he's not lied to me.

He tells me he loves me all the time, he would do pretty much anything for me and my family love him.

He's had a difficult upbringing and he said all he wanted was to be perfect for me and that's why he let me know they liked him, but never admitted his history with him. He said he had felt bad for it for a long time.

I don't know if I should dump him? I do love him, but I don't want to be a doormat.

If he is kissing other girls while in relationship with you he's cheating. Its plain cheating. As for his past, that shouldn't matter.

But they you've said it here, all these girls he's been with, he's just cheating on you. How can a girl kiss a guy without his permission or approval?

Dump him. If you put up with all this now, he'll become more confident and take bigger steps with other girls.

Yeah, I would consider that cheating... and if he lied about it even after you confronted him, I have to wonder how much more he has done that you don't know about.

How old are you guys? Maybe he can't handle all the attention that females want to give him. No excuse for bad behavior, and maybe for that reason, he is a lousy partner for you right now.
