    Switching Visas
I met my boyfriend at college, after he graduated last December he went home and has been working in Africa. However, we have talked about getting married December 2012. We are not engaged yet, but were thinking of getting engaged sometime this summer, leaving 6-9 months engagement to plan our wedding. The wedding would be here with all my family. He was planning on coming back in May to spend more time with me and stay until December when I graduate from graduate school and we could get married. My question is- if he comes on a tourist visa (that's what he was planning on doing) will he get charged with Visa fraud when he marries me? I don't want him to come on a fiancˇ visa because 90 days is not nearly enough time to plan a wedding and I don't want to get married while I am still in school. Or could he come on a work visa (granted he finds a job before he comes back in May) and get married and not get charged with visa fraud? I guess I'm wondering what visa is best to come on so that we can get married in December and not have him be forced to leave the United States after- although we are planning on going to London anyway for his grad. Degree... this is all so confusing would appreciate the help-thanks!
