Help me find name of a movie?
1970s to 80s tearjerker.teenage boy is dying. Think of cancer.there is one part in the film where he collapses in hospital and it shows his arm under the hospital curtain.so they rush round to him. It is a love story too.he is lovely looking with thick dark hair.

I don't remember a whole lot about it, I do remember that they were going around to "try out" different parents. I remember one of the parents they went to live with were like overly obsessed with being 100% dust free, they had major mysophobia(afraid of germs) problems. Anyone have any clue?
