 I just got a Maytag dryer from a friend and need to switch it from a 4-prong to a 3-prong plug. I understand that red and balck wires are hot, that white is neutral and green is the ground. The only thing is that there are blue wires as well and I do not know what to do with those. Can someone help?

 I moved into an older house and have a brand new Maytag Bravos dryer. I took the 4 prong cord off and there is a white wire that was installed under the middle prong of the 4 prong cord. The white wire is part of the dryer... it comes from a bunch of wires inside the dryer. I am now putting a 3...
