It shouldn't be too bad an expense here, but hard to say as I simply don't know your set up, right? It sounds like the drain line needs to be snaked (cleaned)... can snake down the washer vent or drain if a cleanout is present, or can snake down the shower vent (if present). Worst case, you can snake the drain through the shower PTRAP but I try to avoid snaking through PTRAPS unless absolutely necessary. If you want to do this buy some goggles and leather gloves and go RENT an electric snake from a tool rental store. Otherwise, check with your local plumber as he/she should be able to make quick work of this! Mark |
