    Mirena and pregnancy test.
    If u have the mirena which I've had for 4 years, and take a pregnancy test, can it give u a false negative? I have prenancy symptoms.

    Hi sherry30814... welcome to AMHD,

    No, the result on a pregnancy test would not be altered by the mirena. If you feel that pregnancy may be a possibility, best to see your doctor for a test there. They would also check the placement as sometimes pregnancy can occur when the IUD slips.
