    Ask a Nurse Online Chat?
I have a very bad earache. My ear is visibly swollen on the inside and red but there is no apparent center to the swelling to indicate a bug bite or pimple. It hurts to swallow sneeze or do anything that cause movement in the eustachian tube. This has been ongoing for 5 days now. What is going on and what can I do to stop this. (please don't suggest a doctor or hospital I can not afford either and both require payment at time of treatment in my area)

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do aside from seeing a doctor or hospital. If this is a bacterial infection it can be very dangerous to your health to be left untreated.

Just an FYI, although your hospital may request payment at the time of treatment, they also have programs designed for people like you who do not have insurance. These programs can range from a sliding scale payment to charities who give their money to help take care of payment for people in your situation. You just need to let the intake admissions clerk know that you do not have insurance and cannot afford the bill. Ask her what programs are available in that hospital to help you with your bill.

4 months ago I started getting severe itching on my vulva. It was so intense that when I would scratch it was very painful like if you had a blister and scratched it. I have tried many, many creams and ointments with very temporary relief. I have never had anything like this before.
