    Moved from one state to another
    I moved from NY to Fla in oct 2011,I have not worked since I moved, where do I file my taxes. I do wish to collect my ny state taxes, also with my federal

    File a part year resident return with New York, using their form IT-203. You will owe taxes to NY on your income from January up to your move date. FL does not have an income tax, so nothing to file there.
