    How can ptsd be treated
I am an EMT and I have been having horrific nightmares and when I don't have nightmares I have very strange dreams that make me so uncomfortable I wake up. I recently have been waking up yelling amd screaming. I fear every time I am work that I will get calls and I will roll up on a family member. I've become highly paranoid such as making sure doors are locked 6 times before I go to bed! I am constantly worried that something will happen to my teen sisters every time they leave the house! How can I make this stop?

Maybe you are having post traumatic stress. You work in the medical field... is there a doctor you could speak to about this? Dreams usually reflect what we experience and what we think and feel. If we suppress thoughts and feelings to get through extreme situations our subconcious mind processes these and they can come out in our dreams. Maybe as an EMT you are experiencing stressful situations which you suppress for you to be focused on helping others. If you have to check 6 times if you have locked a door, then you are developing an abnormal pattern/ habit. Seek psychological help from a professional!

Why do you think you have PTSD ? What type of traumatic experience have you had?

But they can be treated by drugs, by counseling. You may have to change jobs to something with less stress
