    2002 ford escape transmission?
    My vehicle will not go into drive or reverse but has never should any issues with the transmisssion

    . Check all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    . Check/replace the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS), if the problem persists. The neutral safety switch is part of this sensor.

    Ensure you have depressed the brake pedal for 5 seconds, prior to shifting out of Park.
