Filed 1040 instead of 1040 NR EZ
    Hi,

I filed 1040 for year 2011 instead of 1040NR-EZ via turbotax and I got my refund too.. Is there any problem or do I need to correct this? I was in US for more than 180 days in year 2011. Please advise.

    Thanks
    Shanky

If you completed 183 days in 2011, you are dual status. If you are not married, you must file dual status tax return. You are nonresident for part of year and resident for remaining part of the year. You can deduct moving expenses Form 3903.

Also note that on resident return you must report worldwide income for the full year, which you may not have done.
You must amend your tax return (Form 1040X) alongwith properly done dual status tax return.

Yes, you are resident in 2011. Now make sure that you reported worldwide income for 2011.
