I recently took one injection of the depo-provera shot. The shot was out of effect on Jan. 10th, I have not taken any other contraceptives since and have had unprotected sex. Since I have been experiencing a little brown discharge and approx. A week and a half ago had light pink spotting but nothing to amount to anything. After the pink spotting I am now having a light brown discharge only when whipping and a very small amount. I took a pregnancy test Thursday morning and received a neagtive result, but being my cycle has been so out of wack since coming off the shot I don't know when to expect my period. I was having many symptoms of pregnancy but had taken two test with both a negative result. Currently I am having what feels to be cramps/ pains near my ovaries feeling as if I should be starting a normal period but nothing has or is happening. What is going on?

The Depo-provera shot has different side effects that are different in every one. I used to have that problem too. I went into my OB/GYN and had a talk with them about it. I would recommend you going into talk to your doctor. There could be nothing or they could find something. Better to get checked out.
