    FBI fingerprint check.
    Will a 1981 felony charge show on my FBI fingerprint check. Charge was for violence against my ex-boyfriend who beat me up. Police arrested him on the spot. Several days later they came to arrest me. They apologized but said they had to do it because boyfriend brought counter charges against me. All charges against me were dropped by Grand Jury.

    First a finger print check just proves who you are, it matches any prior finger prints to the current ones.

    It is your criminal history they match up with fingerprints. Your criminal history should show only convictions. Not arrests. Next arrests that are dismissed have nothing to harm, a lot of people get arrested then found not guility or have charges dropped.
