    Thanks, A friend's husband ran away to pick up a girl he met on line, she found out he was going to Tenn. Thought it might be better for her to leave the divorce filing to him in a state that wasn't a community property state. We are in WA which is. She is afraid he will take too much from her if she files here. She believes the venue of filing will determine the property division.

    Not really. Even if he were to file in another state, the property division would be according to Washington law.
