    Hot tub electrical help
I have a Master Spa. Current configutation: 60amp breaker in main panel dedicated for pool/spa. 50amp gfci breaker for spa in disconnect which has 6awg from main to disconnect. From disconnect to four square box has 8awg. I was told by an electrician that I can tie the 8awg and 6awg with wire nuts in the four square box then make the 6awg connections in the Master Spa panel. I tied in the 6 & 8awg in the four squRe box and made the connections in the hot tub panel. I went to the disconnect to turn the power on and the 50amp gfci tripped (attempted 5 times). Was the electrician wrong about being able to tie in the 8awg & 6awg wires? Do I need to do a full run of 6awg from the disconnect to the hot tub? I estimated a 60' run from the disconnect to the hot tub. Thanks.
