Frequent Brown Discharge

My period was very weird this month. It was lighter, and I did not have any cramps. I always have cramps, and my period has never been this light. My breast are always sore when I have my Period and this time it wasn't. I kept getting a brown discharge this period quite frequently. My last period from the previously was two weeks late. Is this normal?
