If I find the answer to this, it will be amazing. I am looking for the title of an old movie I saw many years ago - maybe in the 1970's or 1980's. If I remember correctly, it was about some English or British prisoners - male and female, who got the chance to get some land and farm it, and each male had to team up with a female. At the beginning they are all in cages. The star of the movie - a guy - got stuck with a very vicious and mean female that no one else wanted. Her head was shaved. But, as the movie goes along, he wins her over and they make the land work for them. I saw the movie on television, so I'm not sure if it was made for television, but I got the sense it was perhaps a British film that simply was shown on American TV. It is a good movie, and I've often thought about it, but have never seen it since and never heard of it again.
