    Married filing Separate
I got married back in January of 2011 while I was in the military, stateside. My husband (he's a civilian) and I got in a fight about 6 months in and I turned off his phone. And he never had a Facebook. I kept in contact with his close friends and last they heard he moved to Hawaii, and talks to nobody. Meanwhile, I got retired out of the Navy at the end of January 2012 and planned on filing for divorce as soon as I got moved home. I went to file my taxes and can't cause I don't have his social security number nor do I have a point of contact for the SOB. Any advice? What does one do?

You should list his name on your Married Filing Separately return, print the return, write "UNKNOWN" where his SSN would go, then sign the return and MAIL it with a cover letter explaining the problem.

It will take some ti me, but you WILL get your refund eventually.
