Tenancy rights Alabama maritime
I reside in a house located at what once was my brothers marina,thatasof 1 31 12 no longer his. It went into foreclosure. I have been living in the house for approximately 5 months in exchange for work. I was named dock master and told to keep an eye on the place he was in the process of opening another business in Wisconsin. He was served with what I assume eviction papers on 12 2 11 and we here at the marina @eren't informed of this... I was asked or told to leave pack and be gone in 2 hours... what are my right and the rights of the live a board tenants that I have

You were told you had three DAYS to move or 2 HOURS to move? Your posts are contradictory.

Under federal law a tenant (and you would qualify as a tenant) must be given 90 days AFTER the property has changed hands to move. The law is referred to in sticky notes at the top of this forum.

This is the link. The only possible exception would be if the new owner could prove that the compensation the OP was giving (services of a dock master) were "substantially less than fair market rent for the property". But they would have to sue to evict (after first giving a notice to quit under state law) in any event.

Maritime tenancy in foreclosure
The marina that I live in and was employed at has gone into foreclosure. We{live aboards and dockmaster that lives in the office/house]we were approached by someone whom said that so and so at... realty in atlanta said for me to run this marina as if it were your own!and tried to give us only 2 hours to vacate... he came back Friday said that we had until monday{this past]at 7am to vacate that all locks changed and locked.. well its Friday again.. I dockmaster live in the house I understand that I need to leave I'm unemployed now what are my rights having no paperwork
