My father died last, upon cleaning out his house I found my birth certificate.
My father passed away last year. I was cleaning out his house and found a copy of my birth certificate. Upon finding this there was a note on the back stating that"a trust was set up under child's social security number" how do I find out where this trust is?

Go into your bank and show them the note and your social security number. They should be able to locate it. The name on it should be yours, your moms, or your dads.

Also keep looking though dads belongings, there would be a bank letter or letters showing monthly or quarterly reports. Check any bank your dad has ever used.

The trust is not necessarily with a bank, or with OP's bank.

Trusts are supposed to file informational returns with the I.R.S. under certain circumstances. It's possible therefore that the I.R.S. would have information regarding this particular trust, particularly if it is identified by the specific SS#.
