[Diomedes]

There is a movie which I saw many years ago and want to see again, but I can't remember the title.

The spoken language in the movie was French, but I think it might have been canadian french.

It is about a couple, who are together and swimming in a lake, when they are attacked and he is hit in the head and passes out. When he wakes up he thinks that she is dead. Many years pass and suddenly he is contacted but what he thinks might be her. In the end they meet up the near the place where it happened. She was for some reason involved in something and had to fake her death. Her father shoots himself with a shotgun as far as I recollect.
