My boyfriend doesn't want sex because of the noise for our new flatmates
My boyfriend doesn't want to have sex when our flatmates/work colleagues are at home, as the bed makes too much noise! Even though I asked him about it and he said he doesn't like people to hear us having sex, although in our previous houses there hasn't been a problem? Sounds suspicious or am I reading too much into it?

My advice here will be look for a good bed, or do in on the floor or if not don't give a dam about what the flat mates think as they are having it too.

Ask him - you are in a relationship, having sex and presumably having discussions about other matters. This is just another question.

As far as the "don't give a damn" advice I think it does not address the question.

I would just like to say that it sounds like your boyfriend is acting like an ADULT.

Having had the roommates that had sex VERY loudly at all hours of the day and night--how about you work WITH your boyfriend to either have sex quietly at night or wait until your flatmates are out?

I agree with Synnen, sounds like he's just being considerate of the roomies. Um... use the floor? Or stand up against the wall, or off the bed, or on the bed but have him use deep, slow strokes. Jesus, you guys don't have to go at it like jackhammers every single time lol!

In your previous houses, were your flatmates also your work colleagues? He may not want your sex life to end up as a topic of conversation.

Does sound carry better in this house? Have they said something to him about noises?

Can the bed be 'fixed' or reposistioned to make it quieter?

How much does it really affect your sex life?

You can all sit down and have a house meeting about how to respect everyone's need for privacy. See if times can be set up to where everyone gets the house to themselves at least once a week.

You can look into ways to sound-proof your room.

You can look into getting a place together without flatmates.

    Good luck.
