Hey, My name is lisa an I'm 19. I missed my period for 2 months now. In January I did start my period but it only lasted for 1 day and then stopped. I didn't have a period since. It is now the end of feb. I usually have my period the last week of every month. I took a pregnancy test last week and it came up negative. I've been reading online that a missed period could be caused by stress. I was not really stressed. I had my exams in January but I did not really stress over them. I found I wasent really stressed until I only had a period for 1 day.. then I really started to stress. So I don't know if that's why I'm not having it. Also my boyfriend is really stressing me out. He keeps going on about abortion but I'm really against that and I'm scared to tell him. And all we do now is fight and I feel like we are going to break up. So I don't know if this is causing my not to have it eaither. In January I was looking online and it said you would have implantation bleeding which basically means your pregnant.. and its just a spot of bleeding that doesn't last long. So I started to think that's what happened in January. But I can't stop stressing over it now. I know I just need to go to get checked. But I was wondering if anyone else had this problem before and if they were pregnant or not?

Calm down, I really think you're fine. My girlfriend has wery irregular periods. We used to always think that she was pregnant. She never was. There are several things that can cause irregular periods. No, I'm not a dr. but I've done tons of research when I was scared in the past.

HCG is a hormone that is released in your body when you are pregnant. The longer into your pregnancy the higher the HCG level. Pretty much all home pregnancy tests are the same and the same as the ones you take at the dr's office. I did work in a hospital lab for 4 years and know that blood pregnancy tests are no more accurate in determing whether you are pregnant. The only time that a test performed w/ blood is benneficial is when you want to see how far along you are. But don't worry, because that is highly unlikely from what you've said. Anyway... the mose IMPORTANT thing to know is that uring pregnancy tests will show up positive within 7-10 days of conception. So, if it's been that long or longer... don't worry. Hope this helps.

Yeah I do hope its just the stress causing my missed periods. I guess I will know soon. Thanks:)

Yea I just don't really trust those tests because someone I know took them and 2 out of 4 said negative and one said positive and then the blood test said positive. Also I'm not on birth control anymore. The doctor took me off them for a awhile because it was causing problems with my blood pressure. I also had unprotected sex. Im going to take another pregnancy test tomorrow so ill let you know how that goes. Thanks:)

I just found out today I am pregnant. I have to go for an ultrasound in 2 weeks.:( I don't know how I'm going to tell my boyfriend or parents:/
