    I have a compressor with a single phase motor (1420 RPM, Hz 50,10 amp , )
    When it is plugged in to mains electric it runs no problem.I have a 240v generator (portable)and it starts the compressor motor but cuts out almost immediately. What KVA generator is needed to run the compressor motor ? I work in places without electric so need an answer ASP any ideas,Thanks

A single phase air conditioner takes 8 amps, while the same with 3 phase takes only 3 amps, the billing is finally for the amps consumed right, so why not only 3 phase.
