About the problem which you have mentioned here, let me tell you that he may be asking just for fun, or for being certain, as sometimes, it is leaking of the greasy lubricant, which the beginners take as ejaculation of semen, which is actually not. But, by and by, they come to know about it. Nothing to worry, it usually happens, with beginners, often, no doubt, but sometimes, even the 'seniors' are uncertain about it. Just relax. It is possible that he may not know.

Something to keep in mind is that ejaculation and orgasm are separate events that usually coincide. If he climaxed and was extremely into all the other sensations, he could have missed the sensation of ejaculating. If you add other factors such as you possibly climaxing at the same time then it could be even more understandable. Sensory overload as it were.
