    Fastest way to become a u.s citizen
    Hi my name is Jamie I'm engaged to the love of my life Jose he is from mexicalli, mexico. So we want to get married and I just want to do things right and quick as possiable I now its not going to be quick but I want to do it right he is here in the u.s and we are living together. I heard the best way to do this is get married in mexico and apply for a visa there is this truly the best and fastest way to get my fiancées citizenship? I definitely don't want to hire a lawer I just want to know how we can do this on our own and make it right.

    Without an Attorney you don't have much of a chance of doing it "right."

    Jose is here in the US now? What type of visa? Or is he an "illegal"?

    He will have to me in Mexico and apply for a visa to get married to you. Just getting married does not get him a visa or citizenship. He may gain legal entry but and live and work here then work for citizenship over the next years.
