What type of income is this, other income or schedule c
    HI,
I babysat in my home for a few children all year. I was wondering if I had to claim this income on line 12- as a schedule c business- profit/loss type of income, OR, could I put the income on line 21-other income. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, amy

You ran a daycare facility, so you need to file Schedule C and possibly SE. you may also want to consider Business Use of the Home.

Be careful! Make sure the person you use KNOWS about filing such a return. A fair number of tax "professionals" out there now are little more than data entry personnel who rely TOO MUCH on their tax software for their expertise.
